“All tickets will be date-specific and valid for admission only for the date purchased.
The price of admission during the grand opening period (June 16-30, 2016) is set at 499 RMB. The first official guests will join the exciting celebration of the resort’s historic milestone.
Following the grand opening period, regular price of admission to the theme park is set at 370 RMB. Peak pricing for high-demand dates, including designated holidays, summer holidays and weekends, is set at 499 RMB. Special pricing will be provided to many guests. Children (1.4M and below), seniors (65 years old and above) and guests with disabilities will receive discounts of 25%. Infants (1.0M and below) receive free admission. A two-day ticket will be available at a 5% discount.”
The ticketing plan, which offers different pricing for peak and regular days, if I am not wrong, is unique among Disney parks.
It is also interesting to compare the price with Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland, whose ticket prices apply to all dates.
Hong Kong Disneyland: 539 HKD = 455 RMB
Tokyo Disneyland: 6900 JPY = 385 RMB
We can see that Tokyo Disneyland's ticket price is similar to Shanghai Disneyland's regular ticket price. Yet Shanghai's peak day price is higher than the other two Asian Disney parks.
Given that Shanghai Disneyland is much larger than both parks and is packed with new and innovative experiences, I would say that the ticket price is reasonable.
One March 28, 2016, guests will be able to book tickets from the following three channels:

I am really excited! Can't wait to get my tickets soon!
